On February 17, 2008 with the special request of Psalm Tours, Father Tajat Davidian called the parishioners of Holy Katoghikeh Church in Jervezh (Diocese of Kotayk) to join the students of the world on the occasion of the 110th Universal Day of Prayer for Students.

Earlier, the World Student Christian Federation's officers have called on students and friends of WSCF around the world to join together in prayer on February 17th for the 110th celebration of the Universal Day of Prayer for Students.

The officers' call emphasises the unifying and strengthening power of the Universal Day of Prayer for Students and includes with it the stirring call to prayer issued in 1897 by WSCF's first Chairperson Karl Fries and first General Secretary John R. Mott.

During his sermon Father Tajat said we should pray that all over the world the education not be a prize but a right and opportunity, so that each young person has the chance of graduating from a university.

The Armenian Church commemorated the Sunday of the Prodigal Son on the same day. So Father Tajat connected these two events. In his words, if the prodigal son did not pass through all the temptations and did not get the knowledge and wisdom, he would not come back to his father. The same is about our youth, if it does not get education and if it is not brought up in a good way then it will not come back, it just will be lost.

The sermon was followed by a prayer.
