On July 21, 2007 the grave of the St. Dadi was discovered in Dadivank Monastery. St. Dadi was a disciple of Thaddeus the Apostle, one of the 70 Apostles of the Lord and one of the first preachers of Christianity in Eastern Armenia. Throughout years the grave was thought to be here but could not be found. It is only now that the group of archeologists discovered it right under the holy altar.

On July 24, the remains of the saint were blessed by His Grace Archbishop Barkev Martirossian, the primate of the diocese of Artsakh. In his interview to Yerkir Media he said: “It was a great blessing for the whole Christian world, the Armenians and particularly for the people of Artsakh. We dreamt that with God’s mercy we would really once discover the relics of Apsotle Dadi”. Now the dream has come true and all Christians have the chance to make their pilgrimage to the relics of St. Dadi.
