Haghartsin Monastery was built in the 12-13th centuries on the base of a monastery rooted further in the past. It was an important scholarly, cultural, and educational center in 13-14th centuries and particularly in the 1330’s under the leadership of Khachatur Taronatsi. Being located on a spectacular landscape of Dilijan Forest, it is harmonically embraced by the nature and is a seemly place for reflection and prayer.
