Psalm Volunteers

Psalm Volunteers is a Christian youth group created by the efforts of Psalm Tours to be a self-organizing body promoting and fostering Armenia as a pilgrimage destination.

Currently the group initiates pilgrimages and participates in the Project for Training and Preparation of Christian Pilgrimage Tour Guides. It is the pool from which Psalm Tours selects volunteer guides in case we are requested to do so.

We have ambitious plans regarding the development of the group. It is our vision that the group will eventually become an NGO dealing with the following issues:

• Development of pilgrimage-friendly infrastructures in Armenia (creation of pilgrimage related web portals and sources of information, translation of Armenian Christian literature, preparation of pilgrimage guides).
• Promotion of Armenia as a Land of Prayer so that our brothers and sisters in Christ from other denominations know about our Christian land, its immense Christian heritage and spiritual present.
• Involvement in international Christian unions and movements (such as World Student Christian Federation, Syndesmos, etc.) to share our interests and skills with them and to achieve tangible results through joint effort.
