Lectures on Tourist Destinations of Armenia

Within the framework of its Project for Training and Preparation of Christian Pilgrimage Tour Guides, Psalm Tours realised a series of lectures and discussions on Tourist Destinations of Armenia from December 18, 2007 to June 1, 2008.

This training was the second step on the way of realizing our project of preparation of Christian Pilgrimage tour guides. It has covered all the major tourist destinations of Armenia from their architectural, cultural and historical perspectives.

The lecturer was a knowledgeable guide with substantial experience in the sphere.

Geghard Monastery (Ayrivank) (IV-XIII cc.)
Included in UNESCO List of World Heritage. Cave carved monastery churches and chapels. Rock of cross-stones.
• The name Geghard is the Holy Lance that pierced Christ's side. It spent 5 centuries here; • Miraculous Holy water source; • IV century Church of Holy Mother of God still there; • Wonderful architecture.
